The Quiron Task Force Command, Organic Military Unit to the Eighth Division of the National Army, regrets informing that:
1. On August 24, 2019, in the afternoon, Soldier Ferney Roberto Nassar Celis, belonging to the Military Engineers Battalion No. 18 General Rafael Navas Pardo, was killed when he was in a state of defenselessness in his residence, in the municipality of Tame, in the department of Arauca.
2. This hero, a born in the city of Bogotá, had already served, 19 years, the institution, and was in the assisted retirement program for seven months, a benefit provided by the Military Forces to personnel who have served for years the country.
3. At this time, in coordination with the authorities, research and search work is being carried out to find the whereabouts of those responsible for this deplorable and regrettable action that mourns the Institution and an entire country. In the same way, we send a message of condolences to the relatives and loved ones of our Soldier Ferney Roberto Nassar Celis.
