In compliance with the operations established in the last Security Council, the Mayor's Office of the Municipality of Neiva, the Colombian Air Force and the Army under the leadership of the National Police, articulately launched the 'Plan Candado' whose purpose is to ensure safety and tranquility of citizen of the region and visitors.
The activation of this plan was carried out in order to measure the response of the soldiers in case of any crime that threatens the safety of citizens such as kidnapping, homicide, or other criminal activity in order to react effectively and timely
Brigadier General Norberto Mujica Jaime, commander of the Southeastern Police division, reiterated the need to start up all the operations that may be necessary to guarantee and prevent the city of Neiva from being the victim of any criminal activity.
On the other hand, the commanders of CACOM 4 and Ninth Brigade of the National Army, affirmed that the commitments that each institution and organization are being carried out to counteract any criminal operation.
The Colombian Air Force, through the Air Combat Command No.4, will have its aircrafts and crews to support the different missions or operations that are required to be executed during the plan, working unified with the entire Security forces.
The Plan Candado guarantees to protect the city of Neiva 24 hours a day, to do so it is necessary to work with the National Model of Surveillance by Quadrants, activated permanently.
