After three consecutive days of search and rescue work by sea and air, Units of the National Navy have recovered seven bodies without life, which apparently belong to the shipwrecked boat that covered the route Capurgan谩 - Sapzurro, in the department of Choc贸, with irregular migrants on board.
Yesterday, a Rapid Reaction Unit of the Urab谩 Coastguard Station, which was conducting inspections of the area, recovered two lifeless bodies floating in the sea, in the sector known as Terr贸n de Az煤car, between Capurgan谩 and Acand铆, in the waters of the Gulf of Urab谩, in the department of Choc贸.
The National Navy made the coordination with the Judicial Police, for the delivery of the bodies, in the municipality of Acand铆, in the department of Choco.
In recent hours, men of the National Navy managed to find a body of a minor of age in Capurgan谩, and four other bodies, on the beach known as Cabopino Roa, a rocky and difficult to access zone. At this moment the coordination with the Judicial Police, for the lifting of the bodies takes placve..
The search and rescue operation continues. The Navy reminds the importance of taking preventive safety measures when boarding maritime transport and reaffirms the availability 24 hours a day of the line 146 to report any emergency situation that may arise at sea.
