In the inspections carried out in G眉erima and San Jos茅 de Ocun茅, in Cumaribo, Vichada, two laboratories for the production of coca paste base were found by troops and neutralized. This was the result of two joint and coordinated operations led by the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy and the National Police, which led to the dismantling of these clandestine facilities used by groups outlaw.
Thanks to the timely intervention of the different authorities, it was possible to reduce drug production in the region, as well as reduce the economic resources of criminal groups. During the operations, various items used in the production of drugs were found by troops, such as: 95 kilograms of lime, 430 gallons of DIESEL, 390 gallons of coca paste base and 230 gallons of gasoline, which were put into custody of the authorities.
These findings constitute a blow to the logistical construction of illegal groups, who depend on these substances to finance their criminal activities. In addition, the operation included the confiscation of other chemical components used in the process of making narcotics.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force continues to work on joint and coordinated operations in the fight against drug trafficking and the protection of national security.
