Officers and non-commissioned officers from Colombia and allied countries complete the EOC Course, aligned through international standards and modern military doctrines.
The School of Military Engineers of the Military Education Center certified a new group of officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers specialists in Explosive Ordnance Clearance (EOC) Course, a program that trains in the identification, neutralization and handle of explosive devices, with the participation of international military personnel.
The course was held at the facilities of the School of Military Engineers, within the framework of international cooperation policies and strengthening of national security.
During this instruction, students of the Colombian Military Forces and from partner countries obtained the necessary skills to operate in complex and multinational environments, working for the success of military operations.
The institutional mission of the School of Military Engineers is based on educating and training officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and civilian personnel in the doctrine related to the threat posed by explosive devices, framing the operation in respect for the national Constitution, human rights and international humanitarian law.
By 2030, the School plans to consolidate as an academic and military operations benchmark in civil and military engineering, through high educational quality standards, research, innovation, technological development. In this way, contributing to the strengthening and cooperation with allied nations.
In recent years, it has trained more than 80 international students, which testifies its leadership in preparing experts in explosive ordnance clearance and neutralization operations.
The EOC Course is a strategic tool that not only strengthens the resources of the Military Forces, but in the same way contributes to regional and international security, reaffirming the commitment to peace and the protection of communities.
