In the midst of a maritime interception operation carried out by the Ecuadorian Naval Air Force, the Colombian Aerospace Force supported through aerial monitoring in the waters of the Ecuadorian Pacific the search for rescue of a group of shipwrecked people.
It was possible to find 12 people belonging to the Ecuadorian Naval Air Force and three citizens who had been arrested in the middle of an operation.
In an immediate reaction, after the request for support of the neighboring country, an aircraft of the Air Combat Command No.3 flying about 1.5OO km supporting the mission to find the boat in which the people who were on board were traveling; later communication was established with the Surface Units of Ecuador to coordinate the rescue of these citizens in open waters.
