continua_la_busqueda_de_los_pescadores_desaparecidos_en_san_andres_1.jpg

Since last March 2, the Caribbean Naval Force, through the Specific Command of San Andr茅s y Providencia and the Coast Guard Station of San Andr茅s, began the search and rescue operation of five rudimentary fishermen who left to carry out their operation of fishing from March 2 to 6, 2019, towards the sectors known as Punta Sur and Isla Cayo Albuquerque.

So far, the search and rescue protocol continues to be executed with the Rapid Reaction Units of the Coast Guard Station of San Andr茅s. In the same way, with the support of the units of the Aeronaval Group of the Caribbean Naval Force and the Caribbean Air Group of the Colombian Air Force, air support has been carried out, according to search patterns. In the same way, local and international warnings continue to be emitted through the authorities of the Port of San Andr茅s and Providencia, towards the entire fishing guild and towards Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras.

In the framework of the operation, meetings have been held led by the San Andr茅s and Providencia Specific Command with the fishermen of the region and the relatives of the missing people, with the purpose of joining efforts in the search.

The most recent meeting that took place last Tuesday, March 12, was attended by the Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr. Anthony Rojas Archbold, who ratified the work in conjunction with the authorities, which up to now have demonstrated the greater effort to find the missing fishermen.
