Six residual GAO members surrendered to Joint Task Force Omega troops

These individuals decided to return to legality because of the bad treatment they were subjected to in the structure.

The operations carried out by the units of the Joint Task Force Omega led five individuals in the municipality of Vista Hermosa, Meta, to look for the troops to begin their process of surrender to justice.

Thanks to the constant work and frequent campaigns carried out to invite members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, to surrender to justice, these five men left the ranks of the Ariel Aldana structure that commits crimes in the department of Nari帽o, to take advantage of the benefits that law offers.

These men stated that during their stay in the structure they were victims of mistreatment, since they were recruited in the department of Meta and later taken to commit crimes in the department of Nari帽o, where they were not allowed to have contact with their families.

In similar circumstances, in the municipality of La Macarena, Meta, in the same way occurred the voluntary surrender of a woman who lasted more than seven years in the former Farc. In recent years she would have been conducting criminal intelligence at the service of the residual GAO structure Jorge Brice帽o Su谩rez.

These operations weaken the structures of the residual GAO and neutralize its intentions to carry out terrorist acts and transport weapons, explosives and ammunition in the south of the country. In the same way, troops hit the finances the gang obtains through extortion of money of merchants, an activity these individuals were perpetrating
