Special Operations Training Strengthens Colombian Air Force Resources

cogfm-fuerza-area-capacidades-fuerzas-militares-ejercicio-entrenamiento-08.jpg

In order to maintain the training of the crews, the Colombian Air Force conducts continuous training of the UH-60 Black Hawk equipment, guaranteeing operations in defense of the Nation and continues saving lives.

One of these resources is called Fuel Easy. It is a refueling equipment.  It can be transported by external load and taken to places that do not have a fixed point for supplying it.

Another training carried out by the pilots, technical specialists in rescue teams, together with the special air commandos, was in confined waters, in the Guatapé Dam, where they carried out maneuvers such as Heló Cast, which consists of descending of the helicopter overboard and the cavitation ladder in the same way used for rescue missions.

In this way, the crews and aircraft of the Air Combat Command No.5 maintain their preparation, ready to reach the most difficult places and save the life of those in danger.
