Thanks to the research work carried out by the Unified operation Group for Personal Freedom, Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) - Cauca and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), the rescue of four people who had been kidnapped in rural areas of the municipality of El Tambo, in the department of Cauca was possible. These people returned to freedom after 23 days of kidnapping.
The important inter-institutional operation carried out by the Military Gaula - Cauca of the Third Division of the National Army and the CTI, was possible after the denunciation posed by the father of the young engineer, who had been kidnapped along with her daughter, but released by the criminals themselves so that he could expedite the delivery of 1,000 million pesos demanded by the front 'José María Becerra' of the Eln.
