Successful Activity to Support the Military Forces in the municipality of Candelillas

The Joint Task Force of the Stabilisation and Consolidation Hercules in the framework of the Acceleration Plan of Unified operation designed by the National Government aims to strengthen the work of the State, through the institutional services in the territory of greater vulnerability, carried out jointly with the National Army, the Navy, in coordination with the National Police, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing (ICBF), the National Learning Service (SENA), the Department for Social Prosperity (DPS) and Civil Defense, the Development Support Activity was carried out, which benefited more than 1,250 people in the municipality of Candelillas in the District of Tumaco, department of Nariño.

 

The activity included the work of the Deputy Minister of Defense for Policies and International Affairs, Sandra Álzate Cifuentes; the Undersecretary of Public Management of the Government of Nariño, Sergio Muñoz; Major General Álvaro Vicente Pérez Duran, Commander of Joint Command No.2; brigadier General Nayro Javier Martínez Jiménez, commander of the Joint Task Force Hercules.

 

The families in this municipality benefited from professional training programs, workshops, lectures, conferences, calls to employers, childhood care, consultations, nutrition, recreational activities, championship of microfútbol, training in first aid, Families in Action and the participation of the office of development and social integration.

 

This activity carried out at the Technical Institute of Agriculture of Candelillas counted on the services and institutional services of the Mayor's office District of Tumaco, the Chamber of Commerce of Tumaco, the Unit for the Reparation and Care of the Victims, the Panamerican Development Foundation (PADF), the Colombian Red Cross, Migracion Colombia, the Development programs with a Territorial Approach (PEDET), the united States Agency for international development (USAID), Electricity Generators of Nariño (CEDENAR), the Hospital Center Divino Niño, the Hospital of San Andrés de Tumaco, Supergiros, the support of the Integrated Police operation units of the Tumaco District with their activities of citizen prevention, for childhood and adolescence.

 

In this important Activity of Support for Development, the deputy Minister said that "the National Government is present supporting the effort made by the inhabitants of Candelillas to overcome the factors that have hit their development. We are exercising sovereignty and governance in this beautiful region, we want to earn your trust and show you that if we are united we can build the prosperous and peaceful country that we must inherit to future generations.”

 

With this activity, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules once again demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants of the Pacific region in Nariño.
