Pilots, technicians and medical personnel of the Colombian Aerospace Force, together with the Colombian Navy, successfully carried out the air transfer of three men in the department of Caquetá who required specialized medical assistance, using a HUEY II helicopter.
The first patient, a 46-year-old man suffering from post-traumatic headache, was initially transported by waterway from the municipality of Solano to the facilities of the Air Combat Command No. 6 (CACOM 6). From there, he was taken by air to the hospital Fabio Jaramillo Londoño, in Florencia, Caquetá.
Additionally, two medical evacuations were carried out from Puerto Leguízamo to Puerto Asís, Putumayo. The first of these transfers corresponded to a 19-year-old diagnosed with impaired renal function. The second, to a 32-year-old member of the National Police who had an acute abdominal pain.
During each flight, the military medical team on board monitored and maintained the vital signs of the patients, working to improve their stability and safety. These operations reaffirm the commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force to safeguarding human lives and strengthening security in the national territory.
