Among those arrested is alias 09, with interference in the municipalities of Toledo, Briceño, department of San Andrés de Cuerquía and Santa Rosa de Osos.
Within the framework of military operations aimed at protecting the inhabitants and contributing to the security of the territory, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Valle de Aburrá of the Fourth Brigade, engaged combats against alleged members of the residual organized armed group Structure 36, commanded by alias Primo Gay, in the Aguacatal village of the municipality of San Andrés de Cuerquía, North of Antioquia.
During the inter-institutional military operation along with the Antioquia Sectional Prosecutor's Office and the Antioquia CTI, it was possible to arrest two alleged members of this illegal armed group, two other members of this group were injured — among them, a minor was recovered, and alias 09, ringleader of this structure's group — whose lives were respected by providing first aid by the combat nurse. Three deaths were reported in the framework of military operations, they were known by the aliases of Johan or El Gordo, squadron commander; alias Tania and alias Isa.
It is important to note that alias 09, who would have been about four years in this criminal structure, would be linked to the murder of Esneider Soldier Alejandro Pineda Solarte and Second Sergeant César Leonardo Pardo Rojas, who days ago were vilely murdered when they were conducting the deactivation of explosive devices installed by this group on the road that connects the municipality of San Andrés de Cuerquía with the village Valle de Toledo.
His criminal experience in the same way includes the installation of illegal screens to generate fear and hinder vehicular entry to the municipalities of Campamento and Guadalupe, as well as the indiscriminate use of explosive devices against the inhabitants, the Military Forces and the Hidroituango project and its subsidiaries.
At the scene of the events, 7 rifles, 21 magazines, more than 1570 cartridges of different calibers, communication radios, military accessories material, bracelets and a screen alluding to this organized armed group were found by troops.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities for the corresponding judicial process.
Through this operation, the strategic intention of the GAO-r Magdalena Medio Bloc to continue carrying out terrorist operations in the Northern subregion and in the city of Medellín is neutralized, as well as the division of Structure 36 to activate the 5th front, which would have the mission of expanding illegal territorial control in the municipalities of San Andrés de Cuerquia, Briceño, Santa Rosa de Osos, Sabanalarga, San José de la Montaña, Campamento, Angostura and Yarumal.
