During a river surveillance, interception and security operation on the Caguán River, troops of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.31 and the Land Operations Battalion No.1, of the Specific Command of Caguán of the Task Force Omega, troops captured three individuals for the crime of trafficking, manufacture or carrying of drugs, in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in the department of Caquetá.

Through a river inspection and control checkpoint on the Caguán River, near the Santo Domingo village in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in Caquetá, troops of the Omega Joint Task Force, captured three individuals who were traveling in a boat. The troops found inside a bag containing a kilogram of unidentified pasty white substance, with physical characteristics similar to those of drugs and $3,750,000 pesos in cash.

The substance was confirmed to be coca base paste.

The individuals and the material were put into custody of the 22nd Prosecutor's Office of Cartagena del Chairá, in Caquetá, for the respective judicial process.

The Omega Joint Task Force will continue to hit the entire criminal drug trafficking chain, thus preventing the entry of millionaire sums of illegal money into the residual organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region.
