cgfm_alcaloides_en_un_semisumergible.jpg

The Military Forces in maritime control and security operations in the Colombian Pacific, carried out the interception of a semi-submarine of approximately 15 meters long, in which 2643 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were transported and would have as a distribution destination Central America.

Once the illegal device was found, outside of it on the top, the military personnel found two individuals in poor health, apparently inside the semi-submarine type ship there was an accident due to the generation of toxic gases of the fuel. The two men were assisted and transported to a ship that was in the area where they were given the relevant medical assistance to safeguard their life.

During the inspection of the illegal device that had a large access of water, two lifeless bodies were found by troops and recovered. The Colombian Sailors, after carrying out these procedures, recovered the drug that was transported inside the semi-submarine.

Subsequently, the rescued people, the bodies and the illegal merchandise were taken to the municipality of Tumaco - Nariño, where they were placed before the Technical Investigation Staff of the Attorney General's Office, which determined that the drug was cocaine hydrochloride.

With this operational deployment that had foreign support, more than 87 million dollars were prevented from entering the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Pacific and that more than six million doses circulated on the international illegal market.
