In the department of Meta and Caquetá, four improvised explosive devices were destroyed in controlled conditions.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan conducted by the Omega Task Force of Colombian National Army, four improvised explosive devices were destroyed in two military operations.
In the first operation, in the Peñas Coloradas village of Cartagena del Chairá, in Caquetá, the Rapid Deployment Force Nº 12 carried out tasks that led to the finding of three unexploded ordnance, which had already been launched.
Similarly, in another military operation, the Rapid Deployment Force No. 11 found an improvised explosive device with characteristics similar to a gas cylinder in the village of Puerto Chorizo of Vista Hermosa, department of Meta.
This terrorist operation in the south of the department of Meta, apparently, was perpetrated by the Marco Aurelio Buendía structure of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, which seeks to control the territory to make its illicit activities grow.
The destruction of the improvised devices was carried out by explosives, detonation and explosive ordnance teams, following all established protocols, which led to their destruction in controlled conditions at the scene.
With the neutralization of these elements, it was possible to counter the intentions of the organized armed groups to hit the inhabitants and the Military Forces working in this area.
The Omega Task Force of Colombian National Army continues to carry out operations that help to stabilize the territory and reduce the resources of the threats and their intentions to attack against the inhabitants of the departments of Meta, Caquetá and Guaviare.
