In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army and interagency with the Prosecutor's Office and the CTI, it was possible to find two aircraft that were in clandestine conditioning and maintenance processes in an illegal workshop in Chia, Cundinamarca.
One of the aircraft, type PA-28, had been illegally entered the country and was being structurally modified. The second aircraft, type C182, was put in to custody of the CTI.
During the military operations, there was an arrest in flagrante delicto of a person who carried out maintenance and adjustments of the aircraft, inside the clandestine workshop.
Through this operation, the Military Air Transport Command of the Colombian Air Force and the Mechanized Tequendama Group of the EJC, counter the use of aeronautical means for the potential illegal transportation of narcotics is limited, directly damaging illicit activities.
