The Colombian Air Force (FAC) has taken to the area, in different aircraft, members of the National Army, Firefighters, Natural Parks authorities, the National Risk Management Unit and the Ministry of Environment.

From Yopal arrived, in a C-295 aircraft, a group of 15 firefighters with special equipment for the management of the fire. Soldiers of the Assistance and Prevention of Disasters Battalion of the National Army landed in Vichada aboard a Boeing 727 aircraft.

Aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the Colombian Air Force were transported from the Air Group of the East to the park El Tuparro, firefighters of the municipality of La Primavera; troops of the Task Force Ares; and units of the National Army, who have worked together to extinguish the fire.

The Deputy Minister of Environment and the Director of National Natural Parks flew over the area to assess the magnitude of the environmental damage and, together with risk management agencies, establish the following actions to achieve control of the emergency.

These efforts will be complemented by Police officers of the Emergencies Special Operations Unit, who have already arrived in Vichada and tomorrow will travel to the park to join this unified work that seeks to stop the flames and to protect nature.

Through the timely coordination of the National Center for Personnel Recovery, the Air Force continues to provide support and make its aircraft and crews available for the control of this large fire.
