Within the frame of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, the Colombian Air Force through the Eastern Air Group (GAORI) has arranged its aircraft and crews in order to transport and distribute more than 2,440 vaccines to areas that only can be reached by air.
For this mission the crew arrived in a C-208 caravan to the municipality of La Primavera distributing 1,700 vaccines, after that 740 in Santa Rosal铆a, in an interinstitutional work with the Government of Vichada, an arduous operation has been carried out with the objective of reaching all the inhabitants of the department and achieve herd immunity.
Continuing with the strict biosecurity protocols and under the refrigeration standards that biologics must have, GAORI will reach the most remote places in the region, as it has been doing during the year 2021 in which more than 2,500 vaccines against COVID-19 were distributed.
