In Villavicencio, Army arrested 9 people who would provide services to the Clan del Golfo

En Villavicencio, Ejército capturó a 9 personas que prestarían servicios al Clan del Golfo

Among those arrested are Colombian and foreign citizens. All were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office.

National Army troops, in coordination with the National Police, carried out the arrests of eight people by judicial order and one more in flagrante delicto. The operation took place in the San Fernando neighborhood of Villavicencio.

The authorities have been carrying out intelligence work for six months to identify these people who would belong to an organized common crime group called Los Troyas, whose ringleader would be alias Lágrima.

The investigators are establishing whether the alleged organization would be at the service of the Organized Armed Group, GAO in Spanish, Clan del Golfo. At the scene of the events, the criminal structure would be collecting extortion money from different economic productive groups in the capital city of Meta.

Among those arrested, who were found by troops to have 75 doses of cocaine hydrochloride, there are Colombian citizens and foreigners. The 6 men and 3 women were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office and will have to face charges of association to commit aggravated crimes and trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.

Colombian National Army continues to firmly combat the organizations and support networks of criminal structures that commit crimes in this part of the country. One of the objectives is to continue beating criminals who profit from microtrafficking and drug trafficking.
