Yopal firefighters train military and civilian personnel of the GAORI

Ycyfyfyg

The Yopal Volunteer Fire Brigade visited the Eastern Air Group, GAORI, in Marandua, department of Vichada, to conduct an instruction to the military and civilian personnel of the Unit in the assistance of forest fires, handling tools and ways of fighting fire, in order to reduce the impact of a possible conflagration and carries out the necessary knowledge to know how to react to a possible event.

Three certified instructors were in charge of teaching everything related to the physic chemistry of fire, in a theoretical-practical workshop that, for three days, managed to increase awareness among the members about the power of human operations for the care of the environment.

By way of recognition, Colonel Luis Fernando Gómez García, Second Commander of the GAORI, highlighted the great operation of the Volunteer Fire Brigade in the Eastern region, during a meeting with the Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers in which he thanked them for their visit and they were given the distinctive coin of the Air Military Unit.

Through this instruction, the Colombian Aerospace Force promotes safer environments, with personnel equipped with the necessary knowledge to be able to make correct decisions in emergency situations.
