The clandestine laboratory was at the service of the illicit activities of the Carlos Germ谩n Velazco Villamizar Urban Front of the GAO ELN.
Troops of the Medium Cavalry Group N.5 General Herm贸genes Maza of the Thirtieth Brigade, in coordination with the Sijin (Judicial Police) Mecuc, a Narcotics Group of the National Police, in the Morretones Village of the municipality of San Cayetano, found and destroyed in controlled conditions a rudimentary structure used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride.
During the military operation, the laboratory was dismantled and 240 kilos of solid substances, more than a thousand gallons of liquid supplies and 100 kilos of solid supplies were found by troops; including 50 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 150 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride in the drying process, 40 kilos of coca base paste, 950 gallons of Acetone, 75 gallons of hydrochloric acid and 100 kilos of caustic soda were found by troops.
In the same way, at the scene of the events were found by troops three microwave ovens, a 10-hole distillations towers, an power generator, a stainless steel tank for pressure drying, a hydraulic press, 25 black and yellow plastic barrels, three digital scales, three gas cylinders, four 5,000-liter water tank and a distillation tower, machinery used for the production and packaging of the drug.
Through this result, the troops have significantly hit the finances of the Carlos Germ谩n Velazco Villamizar Urban Front of the GAO ELN, which commits crimes in this area of the department of Norte de Santander and stop receiving an approximate revenue of one billion pesos, represented in the production and subsequent marketing of the narcotic; money with which they would be strengthening the financial arm of this illegal armed organization.
