In the last month, in the department of Huila, soldiers have found a ton and a half of hallucinogens and have arrested 16 people.
Closing the mobility routes and neutralizing the illicit activities of organized illegal armed groups and transnational threat groups is the objective of the interception operations that in the last few hours led the Ninth Brigade, through the Pigoanza Battalion, to find 850 kilos of marijuana and arrest one person.
The military operation took place in the village of El Dinde, municipality of La Plata, Huila; there, the expertise of the soldiers led to the finding on the roof of a van several hiding places in which 1700 packages of the illicit substance had been conditioned.
According to the intelligence work, it was possible to establish that the vehicle was modified in the city of Neiva and taken to Inzá, in the department of Cauca, where it was allegedly loaded with the narcotic. Later, it would be directed to the capital city of Huila, where a storeroom would be used as a facade for its final destination in the department of La Guajira.
The substance would have an initial cost of 1500 million pesos, but once placed in its final destination its value would triple.
