As part of the maritime control operations carried out by the Colombian Navy in the Colombian Pacific to comply with the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, a ship was detected in which drug trafficking organizations intended to transport 1,087 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
In this operation that counted on international support, an unnamed ship was tracked and intercepted. It was driven by three individuals, who intended to transport the hallucinogen in 54 bags to Central America.
The Coast Guard personnel transferred the individuals, the illegal merchandise and the boat, to the District of Buenaventura, in the Valle del Cauca, where the judicial authorities carried out the Preliminary Identification Test, which left positive result for cocaine hydrochloride.
The three individuals and the material found were put into custody of the authorities in order to conduct the respective judicial proceedings.
With this finding, the Pacific Naval Force prevented drug trafficking organizations from receiving more than 37 million dollars and that about three million doses will not be distributed on the streets of the world.
