As part of the permanent operation against drug trafficking, the Colombian Navy carried out three operations in which ammunition and 915 kilograms of cocaine were found by troops in the North Pacific.
The first finding was made when Navy Infantry units and a Naval Aviation aircraft intercepted a boat, whose crew, noticing the work of the authorities, left three sacks in the water and searched for a beach on the coast, where they abandoned the boat and escape. When the military personnel checked the boat, they found 13 more bags inside, which after the respective procedures carried out by the judicial authorities, it was determined they contain 322 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
Later, the Colombian Navy troops found a drug collection center containing 25 sacks of irregular size and shape, in which 593 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops.
Finally, the operations carried out on the Pacific coasts led to the finding of a campground area with accommodation capacity for 15 people, in which 46 rounds of ammunition of different calibers, a magazine for AK-47 rifle and four uniforms for exclusive use of the Military Forces were found by troops.
With this blow to the drug trafficking structures, the Colombian Navy in the Pacific prevented about 31 million dollars from entering its finances, as product of the sale of the drug on the international illegal market.
