The award will be presented this Friday within the framework of the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which is being held in the Dominican Republic, in which the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, is participating.
Thanks to this recognition Indumil will enter the list of the best international organizations for its quality and management.
The Military Industry is the first Defense and National Security enterprise to receive this award in the 24-year history of the Ibero-American Quality Award.
For the excellence in its organizational management, the Colombian Military Industry, Indumil, a company of the Defense Social and Business Group, GSED, will receive this Friday the Gold award of the Ibero-American Quality Award 2022, in the Public Company category awarded by the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management, Fundibeq.
The award ceremony will be held during a business meeting, which will be held within the framework of the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, in the Dominican Republic, with the participation of the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro.
This award recognizes the quality management and excellence of Indumil, in aspects such as leadership and management style; strategy; people development; resources, suppliers and alliances; and processes, customers and results.
In addition, the recognition will lead the Military Industry to improve its competitiveness in the Ibero-American context and enter the list of the best security and defense companies, by providing opportunities for investment at an international level.
The Ibero-American Quality Award has been awarded since 1999 by the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management, Fundibeq, and is part of the Ibero-American Program for Quality, IberQualitas, attached to the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.
In 2021 Indumil obtained the National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Management, in the public institution category, coordinated in Colombia by the Quality Corporation, with which it won the possibility of applying for the Ibero-American Prize.
Throughout its history Indumil has received awards such as: National Quality Award (1989), Large Industry category; Colombian Management Quality Award (2003), Large Public Institution category; Honorable Mention Ibero–American Quality Award (2007), Large Public Institution category; Honorable Mention Ibero-American Quality Award (2009), Large Public Institution category; National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Management (2010), Public Institution category; National Senior Management Award -DAFP ( 2015); Honorable Mention with the experience: Technical and Scientific Testing Field Laboratory for Humanitarian Demining (2021); National Senior Management Award – DAFP (2021), winner in category Experiences that came to stay COVID-19.
