Within a week, the Pacific Naval Force has found about six tons of drugs, of which four tons were transported on a semi-submarine.

Units of the Colombian Navy, in maritime control operations in the Colombian Pacific, intercepted two ships when they were sailing at high speed transporting 1,368 kilograms of narcotic substances, preventing more than 36 million dollars from being sold on the international illegal market and these from reaching drug trafficking organizations.

The first boat without a name and without registration, crewed by three individuals, was detected approximately 50 nautical miles of the municipality of Bahía Solano - department of Chocó, whose crew members, noticing the work of the authorities, tried to escape without success. During the inspection, it was found that they were carrying 32 sacks. The Coast Guard personnel transferred the boat together with its crew and equipment to the municipality of Bahía Solano, where they were arranged before the Judicial Police personnel, who conducted the Approved Identification Test - PIPH, to the packages, resulting positive for 1,022 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

In the same way, Coast Guard units detected another ship when it was sailing about 60 nautical miles of the municipality of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca, crewed by three individuals.

During the inspection of this ship that had the name La Raya on its hull, the military personnel verified that they were transporting 13 sacks and proceeded to transfer them to the port city, where the personnel of the Technical Research Corps - CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), conducted the relevant judicial procedures, determining that the packages contained 346 kilograms of marijuana.

The six individuals who were put into custody of the authorities will be prosecuted for the alleged crime of trafficking, manufacturing and/or carrying narcotics.

So far this year, the Colombian Navy has found 18.6 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, of which more than nine tons have been in the Colombian Pacific.
