In order to strengthen the security and rights of the inhabitants of the capital city and its nearest municipalities, the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM) carries out reconnaissance and control missions in order to reinforce the number of units.
In a Bell 212 helicopter the overflights are carried out throughout the city supporting the surface troops; these missions have been carried out day and night with highly prepared crews, ready for any reaction.
In the same way, during the month of February this air unit has carried out mass transport operations of National Army and Police personnel to different parts of the country with the purpose of strengthening security and supporting regions where there are disturbances in law and order.
