In a joint, coordinated and interagency operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to arrest in flagrante delicto an alleged member of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) ELN.
After an exhaustive research in the village Rio Blanco in the municipality of Baraya, Huila, was executed the operation that led to the arrest of the woman accompanied by two minors. In the same way, they found material of war, explosives, clothing for the exclusive use of the Military, and cash (apparently product of the collection of money from extortions absent the inhabitants).
Through intelligence work, a group of the GAO ELN-South Central Structure was found, which is trying to form itself under the direction of the Eastern War Front of the GAO ELN that commits crimes in Arauca.
The arrested woman and the two minors were taken to the city of Neiva, where the woman will be prosecuted for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms, ammunition and explosives for the exclusive use of Military uniforms.
