In the course of two joint, coordinated and interagency operations conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police, two alleged members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, sub-structure 28, known as alias Pita and alias Blanco, were arrested in the departments of Arauca and Casanare.
Alias Pita, serait chargée de mener des actions d'extorsion, de renseignement militaire et de stockage de matériel de guerre, en plus d'informer le transit des membres des forces de sécurité dans la municipalité d'Arauquita, Arauca.
In the same way, alias Blanco was in the municipality of Paz de Ariporo, Casanare, in charge of leading the financial factor of this residual GAO in the department of Casanare, as well as carrying out the logistics to transport the victims to Venezuela.
Those arrested were required by the Attorney General's Office, for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes; likewise, in the raid it was possible to found war materials, which are in the hands of the pertinent institutions for their respective judicial process.
