The machinery and troops trained to carry out this type of construction will arrive in the next hours and work will begin immediately on a military bridge of 27 meters length, with the capacity to support more than 50 tons.
After the cowardly terrorist operation, in which criminals of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, using explosives, struck traffic on the Los Trujillos vehicular bridge, between Curumaní and Pailitas (in Cesar), the National Army began work to restore circulation as soon as possible on this important road axis in the north of the country.
This is how this Wednesday, february 23, after anti-explosive technicians completed the operation to review the struck area and after discarding any threat by devices that could hit people or troops, an evaluation was made of the place and the necessary conditions that the structure that is going to be built there should have. After the analysis, and in an inter-agency working conducted by Military Engineers experts in this kind of works, and officials of the Invias (national institution of roads), concluded that the best option for the site is to install a military bridge type Acrow triple simple reinforced, which will have a length of 27 meters long and a capacity to handle up to 52 tons, which is expected to help the people and thus, as soon as possible the traffic on the La Ruta del Sol.
The National Army, of the area, works for the security, and military and machinery are already in on the way from the National Training Center in the Military Fort of Tolemaida, Bucaramanga and Valledupar, with the purpose of beginning the reconstruction work of the bridge.
For these tasks, the institution has heavy machinery, several work fronts, specialized equipment and all the necessary materials so that the military bridge can be built as soon as possible, and thus traffic can be restored on the road for the wellbeing of civilians who use it daily for their daily and commercial activities.
In an institutional effort, the National Army hopes to have the bridge operational in record time immediately after the raw materials and personnel in charge of this important work arrive at the site.
On that area and the road axis, the troops will remain working for the security of the road and its surroundings, with the aim of preventing any terrorist operation.
