These individuals had in their possession war material and pamphlets alluding to the Aldemar Galán Mobile Column of the Farc-Ep when they were arrested by soldiers of the Third Brigade in Yotoco, Valle del Cauca.
In the development of the strategy Tormenta (Storm) of the Third Brigade of the National Army, within military operations conducted against the factors of crime in Valle del Cauca department, and in response to early warnings 014 of 2021 and 053 from 2019, it was possible to arrest four men who pretended to be members of the fictional structure mobile column Aldemar Galán, seeking to frighten the inhabitants to make money from extortions.
The operation was carried out in Caney, in the municipality of Yotoco, Valle del Cauca, where members of the security forces of the National Army received information from the Civic Participation Network reporting that these individuals were in the area, intimidating civilians.
According to the analysis of the information and the recent antecedents on the sector, these individuals were extorting the money of the inhabitants of the region, in addition to conduct actions fully identified in the municipalities of Calima El Darién and Yotoco, such as the one carried out a few days ago with a sporadic illegal checkpoint on the road that connects the municipalities of Media Canoa and Caney, in which they used firearms to intimidate people.
During the military operation, two revolvers, a shotgun, two traumatic pistols, two motorcycles, military accessories, communications and items of value to military intelligence were found by troops.
