Since January 17, 2022, and for 10 days, a Mobile Training Team-MTT of the NATO Ground Command-LANCOM, made up of 15 instructors from different countries: Norway, England, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Germany and Austria, arrived in Colombia with the aim of carrying out, for the first time in the country, a training process and preparation of the Evaluators of the 1st level of the NATO OCC program.
Strengthening cooperation relations at the multilateral level with regional, hemispheric and global scope, the Colombian Air Force (FAC) strengthens the relationship with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization-NATO, taking into account that Colombia, since May 2017, joined as the first country in Latin America which is Partner across the globe of this military political alliance.
This MTT leads to the beginning of the process of training the team of 50 evaluators of the Military Forces, in which 15 of them are part of the Colombian Air Force and will have as their mission the self-evaluation of the first level of the Resources registered in the program with NATO. In the same way, this work leads to establish an environment for dialogue with the Heads of Operations and decision-makers, providing a broader view of the commitment and responsibilities as a country, in the process of achieving the certification of Resources to strengthen the standards for interoperability to get a better understanding of the planning and execution of operations in the framework of this alliance.
