In Colombia, the Hemispheric Humanitarian Aid Exercise Cooperation VII and Angel de los Andes III, led by the Colombian Air Force, will be held under the slogan, United to save lives, where combined exercises will be carried out by delegations from 14 countries, thus strengthening the concept of cooperation among nations.

The Cooperation VII exercise aims to improve protocols and operational procedures of the United States Air Forces Cooperation System (SICOFAA), which, integrated with Angel de los Andes III, leads to real training, combining the Resources of the participating countries to ensure the planning and execution of humanitarian operations of a wide spectrum, such as: massive patient transfers, search and rescue of people, aeromedical evacuations, open water rescue, transport of humanitarian cargo, study and operation on remote runways, launching cargo from aircraft and firefighting.

Conducted by August 30 and September 10, 2021, in different regions of the country, two simulations will be carried out that will require urgent response. An earthquake and a tsunami will be the environments for which the main mission will be to integrate the Resources of the Air Forces of the continent to provide united support, effectively, to face these emergencies.

The experience of the Colombian Air Force in the rescue of wounded, evacuations, air transfers and supports by the risk management against natural disasters, made it a leading Institution and regional reference; therefore, the partner forces on the continent rely on the Colombian Air Force to exercise the leadership that this training requires, in order to carried out the Resources necessary to provide support in natural disasters of large scale.

The exercise, led by the National Personnel Recovery Center (CENRP) of the Colombian Air Force, complements the training received by officers and non-commissioned officers of the Institution in different countries, leading it to act quickly, coordinated and correctly in the face of emergencies caused by natural disasters in Colombia and support other countries of the continent.

The United States, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, Dominican Republic, among other countries, will be part of the humanitarian training, which will lead the participating Air Forces to carry out combined air operations, so aircraft from other nations will be present, measuring their response Resources and humanitarian assistance to save lives.
