In military operations of territorial control, troops of the Military Gaula of Meta (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Seventh Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the Dijin of the Elite Corps of the National Police, was recaptured alias Rambo, alleged member of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Estructura Jorge Briceño, led by Gentil Duarte. Alias Rambo was arrested while moving through the rural area of the municipality of Cumaral, Meta, towards the municipality of Medina, in the department of Cundinamarca.
He had been initially captured on June 6 of this year and had a sentence for the crimes of aggravated homicide, extortion and illegal carrying of weapons.
He was condemned for the murder of the former combatant Alexander Parra Uribe, who was known as Rodolfo Fierro in the ranks of the extinct FARC. These events occurred last October 24, 2019, in the Espacio Territorial de Capacitación Y Reincorporación (Territorial Training and Reintegration Spaces) –ETCR–, Mariana Páez, in the municipality of Mesetas, Meta.
In the same way, he would have been in charge of the organization known as GAO Clan Giraldo, where he recruited people of Venezuelan nationality to join the group of selective homicides against people in the process of reintegration.
