Troops of the Omega Joint Task Force, in the course of military operations in the department of Guaviare, neutralize one link in the drug trafficking chain, finding 6,550 kilograms of a solid substance that would apparently be used in the production of coca base paste.
In river surveillance, interdiction and security operation on the Guaviare River, units of the navy Infantry Fluvial Battalion No.32, found 131 bags of cement, fifty kilograms each.
Through a river inspection and control checkpoint in El Barrancón, San José del Guaviare municipality, 6,550 kilos of cement that were transported aboard a ship was found. It did not have any type of documentation to prove its origin, this in breach of Resolution 001 of January 08, 2015, which is about handling of chemicals and substances.
The military operation was carried out in coordination with units of the National Police, who carried out the judicial process of the material and the boat.
