The first operation conducted by units of the Infantry Battalion No.27 Magdalena and the Highway Police, led to the finding of 38 kilos of Cripy-type marijuana and the capture of a man identified as Arley Ibarra Yate.
The individual was traveling in a private vehicle transporting 71 packages wrapped in beige tape. He was captured in flagrance for the crime of trafficking, manufacture and carrying of narcotics.
The capture of the man who apparently moved from Cauca to the municipality of Pitalito, was reported in the Paloquemao village, thanks to the permanent controls that are being carried out in this area of southern Huila.
Simultaneously, at the crossing of Itaibe, on the road towards the municipality of La Plata, west of Huila, the troops of the Special Energy and Road Battalion No.12 and units of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), capture Luis Fernando Pacheco Salamanca, who was on the CFO 44F plate motorcycle carrying 18 kilos of marijuana, distributed in five packages and hidden in a polystyrene box.
