With the purpose of reforesting areas with damages due to the hand of man, different institutions of the department of Antioquia joined the initiative led by the Colombian Air Force, through the planting of 170 native and ornamental trees in the sector of the Residuals Water Treatment Facility, in the village of Galicia in Rionegro, in the department of Antioquia.
Officers, NCOs and soldiers belonging to the Air Combat Command No.5, Airplan, Cornare, Environmental Police, Scouts and the Community action Board of the village, were the main actors of this environmental activity, which promotes the preservation of the environment and the natural resources of the region.
Actions like these will continue to be carried out by the Colombian Air Force in different points identified as deforestation areas, gradually repairing the damage on the rivers and mountains, which provide the surrounding populations.
In addition to strengthening security, the Institution in the same way promotes these spaces of rapprochement with the community, working hand in hand with institutions that support the protection of the environment.
