The military offensive maintained by the Quiron Task Force, in the department of Arauca, continues to hit the organized armed group GAO Residual Primera with the finding and destruction of a new camp area adapted to house around 40 people; it becomes the second construction dismantled in less than 72 hours in this area of the country.
The military operation carried out by the 29th Ground Operations Battalion was carried out in the village Normandía, in the municipality of Arauquita, thanks to the opportune information that was given by inhabitants of the sector who manifested anomalous movements of a large number of strangers entering and leaving the place; the place was surrounded by explosive devices to prevent the operation of the Military Forces.
On the site, the troops destroyed under controlled conditions an improvised explosive device and seized a camouflaged uniform, a campaign team, a pixelated fabric, two gas stoves, a motor pump, a pick, 40 gallons of gasoline and 180 kilos of dry food.
