The operation was reported in the village Las Perlas, in the municipality of Algeciras, in eastern Huila.
Troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 9 in a joint effort with the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations, CEDOC, and the Colombian Campaign against Mines, neutralize a new threat to the rural population.
It is an Improvised Explosive Device - Abandoned Ammunition (MUNAB), a 60-millimeter grenade, which would have been used in the past by illegal structures in this area of the Department, to attack on the Public Force.
The controlled destruction of the IED provided security to the inhabitants of the village Las Perlas, especially to the children who play in these lands and travel through them to their schools.
