Thanks to an interinstitutional strategy, the Multi mission Heroes, train and encourage citizens to protect natural resources.
In the frame of the project "Sowing peace, life and reforestation", the Multi mission Heroes of the Infantry Battalion no. 38 “Miguel Antonio Caro”, attached to the 13th Brigade of the National Army in coordination with the Professionals Officers of the Reserve, the Colombian Air Force, the Civil Defense, the Ecoglobal Foundation, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cundinamarca, among other institutions and technological educators and authorities of the municipalities of Madrid and Mosquera, conducted an environmental activity of reforestation in the surroundings of La Herrera lagoon, in the municipality of Madrid, in Cundinamarca.
During the environmental campaign, the authorities Work to provide recreational activities and talks with the purpose of raise the awareness of the community in the protection of natural resources and motivate the planting and adoption of trees.
In the activity carried out in open fields, 1,000 native trees were planted to mitigate the bad effects caused by man but also to promote the conservation of the wetland
