In the waters of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, it was possible to intercept two Go Fast type ships in the middle of two operations carried out jointly by the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Colombian Navy, with 1,793 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

The first operation was carried out under the Caribbean Operational Supervision Coordination (SOCA), in the framework of maritime interception, with the support of aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 3. As a result, a Go Fast type boat was secured with three individuals who were on board. 58 sacks were found by troops, including 1,377 rectangular packages that allegedly contained illicit substances.

In the second operation, the ARC Missile Frigate Caldas, the Rapid Reaction Units (URR) of the Coast Guard Station of San Andrés and aircraft of the Colombian Aerospace Force detected a Go Fast type ship with two engines. The crew, realizing the existence of naval units, started to escape by conducting evasive maneuvers, finally it was possible to secure the boat and three individuals were found by troops with 5 rectangular packages of marijuana and 5 square packages of the so called tusi; additionally, 418 rectangular packages were found by troops in the double bottom of the ship.

In coordination with the Technical Investigation Staff of the Attorney General's Office, the Preliminary Identification Test Approved PIPH was carried out on the substances found in the two boats, leaving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride. Those arrested and the items found were put into custody of the authorities.
