This individual had a long criminal history, he was leading criminal activities such as homicide, drug trafficking and extortion against agricultural, livestock and trade productive groups in the departments of Meta, Casanare and Vichada, he was immersed in several investigations for the 12 homicides; in the same way, within the investigative process it was possible to establish that he had under his command 204 members, including 167 of the focused criminal component and 37 of the armed component.

During the operation, a minor and two members of the National Police were injured by the action of alias Cordillera when a fragmentation grenade detonated against them. They received immediate medical assistance and were transported in an Angel helicopter of the Colombian Aerospace Force belonging to the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, to the city of Villavicencio; it was in the same way possible to find a pistol-type firearm and a magazine with 9-millimeter caliber ammunition.
