In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Army and coordinated with the Technical Research Corps - CTI, it was possible to arrest alias Chucho, alleged member of Los Espartanos Substructure at the service of the Organized Gang La Local in Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca.
The arrest of alias Chucho was reported in the Nuevo Horizonte neighborhood, in the locality 12 of the Special District of Buenaventura, where the troops of the Military Forces, accompanied by of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), arrived at a house to make effective an arrest warrant issued for the alleged crime of aggravated extortion.
Alias Chucho was in the service of this Gang for approximately five years and had criminal interference as a ringleader in Locality 8 and in La Independencia neighborhood. During the inspection of the house, two units of communication equipment were found by troops.
This individual would be in charge of coordinating the collection of extortion money paid by the merchants of the port, as well as planning and directing criminal operations against the Military Forces in the Special District of Buenaventura. After his arrest he was put into custody of the Ninth Specialized Prosecutor's Office and he was sentenced to prison.
