The Brigade of Light Cavalry is a military unit of the National Army with differential Resources in mobility and reaction. Its mission is part of the Ministerial order 045, 2017 to maintain the conditions of free mobility of all the Colombians on the roads, which leads to social and economic development of the country.
These resources are put at the service of security during electoral activities as part of the Democracy Plan 2022. The four Meteoro light Cavalry groups, carried throughout the national territory, work for the mobility of citizens who seek to exercise their right to vote. In the same way, these units support security at the end of the elections, so that the electoral material is transported without setbacks for transparency in the electoral process.
