In a joint, coordinated and interagency effort conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to arrest seven people for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics in the informal settlement La Resistencia in the municipality of Yopal.
The criminal structure, called Los Fenix, carried out its criminal activities at the service of drug trafficking; the dismantling of this group puts a brake on the sale, distribution and transport of hallucinogenic substances, directly damaging the rates of insecurity that have been damaging this sector such as theft, trafficking of automobile parts, as well as assaults against the Military Forces.
In this operation, the raid was carried out on three buildings, achieving the finding of more than 170 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 715 grams of bazuco (crack), cellular phones, a motorcycle and approximately 2,000,000 pesos in cash; the material will be put into custody of the authorities.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force continues to work inter agency and in coordination with the relevant institutions in the dismantling of these criminal groups that want to frighten the citizens, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of Colombians.
