During the last month, the Colombian Navy has found 3.6 tons of cocaine, two semi-submarines and two boats.

A new blow to the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Farc, Western Bloc Alfonso Cano, was dealt by units of the Colombian Navy on the Pacific coast of Nariño, with the finding of more than 1.2 tons of cocaine, at the moment when a Colombian and two foreigners intended to traffic it on board a speedboat type go fast.

The strategy implemented by the Colombian Navy to close spaces to drug trafficking in the Colombian Pacific led a ship of the Pacific Naval Force and units of the Tumaco Coast Guard Station to detect the boat manned by the three men, which had sailed of the Majagual sector, municipality of Francisco Pizarro, Nariño, at the moment in which they were traveling at high speeds bound for Central America. The individuals, upon noticing the work of the authorities, left the sacks with the illegal merchandise to the sea.

After several minutes of pursuit finally the boat was intercepted. Simultaneously, the members of the Coast Guard recovered the 43 sacks that had been left at sea, which were tied to a geopositioning buoy. This action led to inferring that the individuals intended to launch the cargo in Central American waters, leaving it adrift under the modality of seeding at sea, which would later be picked up by members of a transnational criminal organization.

The three men, the boat, and the cargo were transported to the Tumaco Coast Guard Station, where officials of the Prosecutor's Office's CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) conducted the initial test that tested positive for 1,267 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. The individuals were arrested and put into custody of the authorities.

Intelligence of the Colombian Navy said that this shipment of narcotics possibly belonged to the Farc dissident group Western Bloc Alfonso Cano who commits crimes under the criminal command of the individual alias Allende. With its finding, the Colombian Navy prevented the entry of more than $ 42 million into its illicit finance system.

It should be noted that, in the last month, the operation against drug trafficking carried out by the Colombian Navy has significantly hit the finances of this illegal organization, with the finding of more than 3.6 tons of cocaine, two semi-submarines and two boats.
