Thanks to the operations carried out by the National Army, in a joint and coordinated with the National Navy, the Air Force of Colombia and the National Police, in assistance to the early warning 017 of 2019, issued by the office of the Ombudsman, seven individuals identified themselves as members of the company Nestor Tulio Duran, of the Western Front-of-War, of the  GAO - ELN, and surrendered voluntarily to the soldiers, in the department of Chocó.

These individuals handed over two AK 47 rifles, 7.62 mm ammunition, two magazines and military accessories.

Similarly, it was possible to find 75 units of Indugel, which would be used by members of this gang for the manufacture of antipersonnel mines and explosives devices .

It is important to highlight that the National Army is advancing on the military demining process of this sector of the municipality of Bojayá, with the purpose of providing tranquility and security to the inhabitants.

In the same way, members of the military unit, together with the support of public and private institutions, supported the Chano indigenous community, with the distribution of approximately 1.5 tons of humanitarian aid including food and basic necessities, in order to mitigate the needs of its inhabitants.

In the second blow to this organized armed group, the Titan Joint Task Force achieved the separation of a girl, belonging to the Miacora indigenous community, who had been forcibly recruited by members of the GAO ELN in this sector of the municipality of Alto Baudo, which is a clear violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law. The minor was put into custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute (ICBF) to begin the restoration of her rights.

In the third and final heavy blow against the ELN, in the city of Pereira, alias Jhonfer was arrested. He would have been in the armed group for about 10 years and would be the third ringleader of the Cacique Calarcá Front.

Alias Jhonfer was wanted for the crimes of association to commit crimes, extortive kidnapping and terrorism, being the main author of the collection of money from extortion against merchants, miners and transporters and he also would be responsible for the burning of vehicles and damages to the Military Forces on the road axis that connects Quibdó with the capital city of the department of Risaralda.

Finally, it must be said that National Army has been implementing the distribution of brochures, which continues to invite the members of the GAO - ELN and the GAO - Clan del Golfo, to embrace the program of demobilization provided by the National Government, while in the same way reiterates its commitment to continue to conduct military and territorial control operations, with the aim of further weakening these organized armed groups that alter the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants in this region of the country.
