Capture in Bolivar of alias Andrés, second ringleader of a front of the GAO ELN, and member of the GDO Los Ratones
In the rural area of the municipality of Montecristo, south of Bolívar; in the in recent hours the Joint Task Force Marte carried out a decisive blow against the organized armed group ELN, with the capture of two alleged members and the recovery of a minor from this criminal structure.
In the course of a joint, coordinated and inter-agency military operation, troops of Jungle battalion No. 48, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's office carried out the recovery of a minor who had been recruited by the Guillermo Ariza front of the ELN.
This minor would be being used for the execution of different criminal operations carried out by this criminal organization, and was put into custody of the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing (ICBF), an institution that will start the route of reestablishing his rights.
Those captured, alias Hugo and alias Felipe, have criminal records including criminal operations, such as the collection of money from extortions and the execution of terrorist attacks against civilians in this region. These people had with them two firearms, ammunition, a first aid kit, a flag alluding to the GAO ELN, a base radio and a laptop computer; important materials for the analysis by military intelligence.
