It is a national-level initiative of the Expanded Immunization Program supported by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, where the main objective is to provide equity and access to vaccination to all inhabitants, which will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 08:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in all military health facilities countrywide.
This year because of the pandemic by COVID-19, there will three activities of vaccination in the months of September, October and November. The Subsystem of Health of the Military Forces-SSFM joins this activity with the purpose of continuing the provision of vaccination services while ensuring the safety of the users and health workers, implementing the strategies and tactics established by the program adapted according to the characteristics of the territory where the are Establishments of Military Health-ESM.
The health professionals in charge of vaccination in the ESM at the national level will be making telephone contact with the users to schedule an appointment. Where the vaccination service is not available, the Professional of the establishment responsible for the route of maintenance and Health Promotion will make the telephone contact indicating the user where the vaccination may take place.
Participation in this activity will led to learn vaccination schemes, resulting in a decrease in the occurrence of up to 26 highly dangerous diseases that can have serious complications and even lead to death, that’s why the active participation of the users is so important to the health subsystem of military forces, especially children under the age of six, girls from nine to 17 years, women of childbearing age, pregnant women and adults over the age of 50.
